Just a reminder to check all candy and throw away anything unwrapped or questionable! As much as a dentist would love you to avoid all sweets, many of us have a sweet tooth and a bucket of Halloween candy is certainly enticing. In the eyes of a dentist, it is actually better to have a single exposure to candy and fulfill you sweet tooth, than snacking on it throughout the day!
Each time you eat sugars, bacteria eat these sugar and produce acids as byproducts. Each acid exposure effects the enamel of your teeth, so you are better off polishing off a few pieces and then brushing or rinsing well with water to diminish acids.
We hope all your ghosts and goblins have a wonderful time and looks like we will be dry in Denver, when much of the country is looking like they are having a soggy Halloween! Happy Haunting!
