Did you know that our teeth and smile are rated as the second-most important attractive feature by both men and women? As they are often one of the first things you notice about people when you meet them, it’s clear to see they’re important.
So, it’s saddening to note that over 30 percent of the population isn’t happy with the color or overall appearance of their teeth, and 18 percent of those people conceal their teeth in photos.
Here at Weisbard Dental, we want to see that statistic drop dramatically. That is why we’re proud to offer premium teeth whitening services. When dentists notice up to 90 percent of their clients are inquiring about teeth whitening, it’s time to take action.
Who Benefits from Teeth Whitening Services?
A dramatic number of people lose self-confidence based on how yellow their teeth are. Many people believe it impacts their relationships, job prospects and most certainly their self-image. So, many people who suffer from lack of confidence due to their stained teeth can benefit from teeth whitening services.
Many people suffer superficial staining. Superficial staining is caused by habits such as coffee, tea, red wine, diet soda, cigarettes, and red sauces. Inherent stain is caused by absorption of minerals, antibiotics, and similar products. Through great advances the last three years, we can now treat all staining, including tetracycline staining. Typical whitening is three to seven shades, but we just had a tetracycline patient that lightened over 20 shades! If whitening doesn’t work, we can always do porcelain veneers.
What Happens During the Teeth Whitening Process?
Firstly, you can contact us to make your appointment with Dr. Weisbard for teeth whitening services. Once you arrive for your appointment, Dr. Weisbard will talk you through the process to help you decide on the best teeth whitening product and procedure for your individual circumstances. She then uses a hydrogen peroxide gel called Zoom which is placed over the teeth to penetrate all the small pores in conjunction with a light to activate the bleach. This process combined helps to both lighten and clean your teeth.
The entire process takes approximately 90 minutes, and we then provide you with a teeth whitening tray to take home and maintain your beautiful new smile. Essentially, this tray touches up any areas that aren’t as bright as the rest and is custom-fitted to your mouth. Unlike off-the-shelf whitening kits, the entire service is customized to your teeth.
Does the Teeth Whitening Process Hurt?
With the experienced and qualified team at Weisbard Dental, you are always in capable hands. We pride ourselves on only ever using premium teeth whitening products for your peace of mind. There are also no harmful side effects and we can answer any questions you might have when you arrive for your teeth whitening service. Some people can experience sensitivity in their teeth post-treatment, but this subsides within 24 hours.
Why do People Get Their Teeth Whitened?
Lack of confidence can be a huge problem in both men and women of any age. Often, teeth whitening is just a way of gaining back that self-esteem you may have lost. We love being a part of this confidence-boosting process.
Some people also choose to whiten their teeth to appear younger, for a special event such as a wedding or a job interview, or to even make a good impression on other people.
In most cases, however, our clients are just looking to reverse many years of everyday staining and yellowing with age.
Our teeth whitening services here at Weisbard Dental are suitable for many different people of varying ages. If you believe you could benefit from a healthy new smile, get in touch. We’d love to hear from you.
