Whiter teeth make your smile stand out. People with whiter teeth often feel more confident about their smile. This means you’ll smile more, and when you smile more, people perceive you as being friendly and welcoming—which has huge benefits both at work and in your daily life. Luckily, there are many things you can do to whiten your teeth—both naturally and with a little dental help.

Here are a few ways to get your whitest teeth ever:

  • Brush at least twice daily with a whitening toothpaste (for at least 2 minutes each time, set a timer if you don’t have an electric toothbrush), but still use a toothpaste that contains fluoride.
  • Great home care keeps plaque off your teeth and doesn’t allow colored foods and liquids to stick to them.
  • Get a teeth whitening kit – we offer a reduced cost for our patients and we will make custom bleach trays, which is the safest and best option.
  • Eat foods like apples, celery, pears and carrots which causes saliva in your mouth to wash away food debris.
  • Avoid smoking, which stains your teeth
  • Rinse your mouth immediately after partaking in staining foods and beverages, such as coffee, tea, dark fruit juices, wine, blueberries, blackberries, and beets.
  • Ask Dr. Weisbard about the products and brands you use to find out if they are contributing to darker colored tooth enamel.
  • Get regular dental checkups.
  • Floss regularly.
  • For immediate results try our in-office teeth-whitening systems Bright Smile or Zoom. (These will usually change up to six shades in one visit.)
